Description
The ZHS-42 is a commercial anode containing two cast in galvanized steel mounting straps with 6" centers. It measures 6" x 2.5" x 12" and weighs approximately 42 pounds. It is rated to 1 amps/year and made to current MIL A 18001K spec (aka ASTM B-418 Type 1). Please call if you want an anode with a different alloy.

Second-Best for Floating Homes (Use ZHC-42 Instead)
Hi All, This WELD-ON anode (ZHS-42) was used on floating homes for many years. As of 2024, a better system for attachment was devised: Two stainless steel bolts are now welded onto the copper wires, a one-time operation. Then the BOLT-ON version of these anodes (ZHC-42) is attached to the bolts with two stainless nuts. So the homeowner can now order the new anodes directly from RotoMetals, and install them using only a wrench. From that point on, here's no need to have a welder come out to replace the anodes.
