Description

New ! Value Bismuth shot for reloading shotgun shells. Our bismuth shot is alloyed with 6% tin to increase pellet integrity. Bismuth is one of the softest of all the non-toxic alternative shot types and that makes it very suitable for old double guns and other shotguns with fixed chokes.

What is the  New Value Method ?

We are testing out a new way to mass produce the shot to help drive the price down.  Note this will have a wider variation on size (that is why we call it a range) and possibly more un -round / tails or other small debrs mixed in it. BUT- in all of our pattern testing it still patterns great ! Please see close up pictures on item BEFORE you order.

Roundness- Note unlike lead or steel  Bismuth shot is not round, but will still shoot and pattern excellent! BB's may have small satellites or tails but this actually helps to not generate as much drag in the air similar to a golf ball ie less sticky in the air.

Bismuth's density is 9.6 grams/cubic centimeter,

 FEEDBACK (actual reviews):

" I have loaded up some of the #3/4 in some loads I'm planning on using for duck and goose season.  The shot went through my Mec 600 Jr very well with very few issues.  Out of the 10# that I have loaded I ended up with only about 6 or 7 pieces of shot that were too large to load.  For the price point, I'm happy with the product that Rotometals is supplying.  In the pattern tests that I have done it has performed very well.  I will attach a couple pictures.  One picture is a 30 yard pattern and the other is a 40 yard pattern with the same load and gun/choke combination.  12 gauge 3" 1.25 oz #3/4 shot @ roughly 1350fps with a mid range choke.  I'm pleased with the results on paper we'll have to see how it does this fall on ducks and geese."    -S. Stevenson in Elkville, IL

"Hey man did some loads with the 7-8 shot shots very nice!  Haven't had a chance to shoot any birds but I did shoot sporting clays with it and it smokes them out to 45 yards with a .410 very impressed with it.  Not as round as some of the others sizes you have but haven't noticed anything crazy will be getting more can’t wait for dove and duck season to do more test"    -C. Humbertson in Hartly, DE

    Bismuth 4's and 5's

Patterns great! A 1 3/8 charge bar drops 1.18 oz of 4's. Loads in a 2 3/4 Remington case with Longshot at 1330 fps are like a trip back to 1979! Low recoil, effective results!
