Sealer Ever Clear for Zinc and Metal Countertops 2 Parts A / B - For Horizontal Surfaces CB-08-D2

We are using a Hunt Table as a kitchen island. Its metal top became scarred and was showing some rust. Definitely needed sealing with a product suitable for use with food. Ever Clear was easy to mix. Because I did not a have suitable shop, I could not spray and had to apply it in situ with a brush. Did 5 light coats waiting an hour in between each and let it cure for a week. Used wet sandpaper, lightly sanding with 220-320-400 and the result was a perfectly smooth matte finish.

We are only half way through our exterior metal gate project - and this product is performing as advertised. It is not that difficult to work with (iI can only speak as a profesional painter however- using an HVLP system to apply). It has excellent adhesion to the metal and it's quick drying. I think it will last longer than any rustoleum paint or any 'direct to metal' paint we could apply. I'm very pleased with it - just need to see if it's as durable I think it will be. The tack time is what I like best, once applied, which was a big concern we had. So, waiting for it to fully cure is no longer a worry. Or having wind blowin particles stick to it prior to it 'tacking up' has not been an issue at all. But we are in conditions of 4% humidity and 10-20 mph wind gusts - so that helps it to dry quickly. We were able to use the moving parts on the gates by the end of the day, without the product scraping off or even showing signs of wear (wear patterns) due to early use. Very pleased thus far!
