Description

Hardball Bullet Casting Alloy consists of 2% tin, 6% antimony and 92% lead. This modern version of the old Lyman #2 is an excellent all-around alloy for most handgun bullets and many higher velocity rifle cartridges. The Brinell Hardness of Hardball Alloy is about 16.

Sold in ~5 pound ingots.

Ingots are approximately 8-3/4" x 1" x 2" and weigh 5 pounds (+/- .25).

Melting point 600-700° F

I have not cast with this alloy yet but a friend uses in his casting that he sells. I have used this alloy at the range and have found there is little or no leading if kept at 1000 fps/1100 fps. Will be looking forward to casting with it myself.

I tried some of these Roto Ingots and now I'm spoiled. The range scrap is time consuming and is not near as user friendly.
